Today's review includes
- Particles and how to connect words and sentences. "To" is for connecting noun, while "Soshite" connects sentences. Ex. Tabako to matchi o kudasai.
- Using V(te) in telling a story in chronological order. Ex. Maiasa roku-ji ni okite, ha o migaite, shawaa o abite kara, asa-gohan o tabemasu.
- Using "te" form to connect 2 sentences with agreeing adjectives. Ex. Yamada-san wa shinsetsu de, ii hito desu.
- Asking for permission. Ex. Sukoshi okurete mo ii desu ka?
- Prohibition. Ex. Koko de tabako o sutte wa ikemasen.
- Continuous. Ex. Mada hiru-gohan o tabete imasen.
- Asking not to. Ex. Kyooshitsu de nenai de kudasai.
- Reinforce the need to do something. Ex. Ashita okane o kaesanakereba narimasen.
- Giving permission. Ex. Nichi-yoobi desu kara, hatarakanakute mo ii desu.
- Using "ni". Ex. Wanchai-san wa nihon-go ga joozu ni narimashita.
- Changing adj "i" into adverb by adding "ku". Ex. Terebi no oto o ookiku shimashoo ka?
- Using past-form of adj "i" Ex. Ryokoo wa taihen tanoshikatta desu.
- Changing plain form of verb into polite form. Ex. Ashita depaato e iku? --> Ashita depaato e ikimasu ka?
- Be careful of certain verbs. Ex. Uchi e asobi ni konai? --> Uchi e asobi ni kimasen ka?
- nakereba narimasen v. nakute mo ii desu.
- Be especially careful when using particles. Ex. Watashi wa tanjoobi ni Tanaka-san kara/ni hana o moraimashita.
- Don't forget "ni" after interrogative pronoun. Ex. Doko ni kuruma no kagi o okimashita ka?
- ka = or. Ex. Ashita ka asatte issho ni shokuji-shimasen ka?
